Details of Marching Band Clinic Finalised
The IMBA will be hosting 3 instructional staff from the 2010 DCE Champions "JUBAL" The seminar will run for two days – Saturday 24th & Sun 25th April. The Saturday event will be aimed towards band members and the Sunday classes will be for instructors and writers.
The cost of the seminar is €10 per attendee.
The Instructors include:

Colour Guard: Sylvia Vos
Percussion: Ruben Lourens
These are instructors of very high quality and we guarantee that this will be a very valuable learning experience for all who attend.
Please promote this event among your band members and staff. Each band director/secretary have been asked to confirm numbers before 10th April.

Ballygar Festival to host West of Ireland show in 2010
The IMBA are delighted to announce that the Ballygar Festival Committee are to host an IMBA show on Sun 1st Aug. Many years have passed since the IMBA hosted an event in Ballygar, which was a very popular location for IMBA shows throughout the 90's. We now look forward to the support of all bands to help make this return to the west a big success. The IMBA would like to thank in advance, Tomas Kenny and the committee of the Ballygar Festival for their commitment to hosting this event.
IMBA Confirm 2010 Spring / Summer Schedule
We are pleased to announce that this spring/summer, the IMBA will host a total of 7 competitions throughout the country. The dates have been confirmed as follows:

28th March: Individual & Ensembles - Clonmel, Co.Tipperary
24th & 25th April: IMBA Seminar / Clinic - Tallaght, Co.Dublin
Summer Dates (DCE Certified Shows)
27th June: Tallaght, Co.Dublin
11th July: Arklow, Co.Wicklow
1st August: Ballygar, Co.Galway
29th August: Clonmel. Co.Tipperary
11th September: Finals - Athlone, Co.Westmeath
IMBA Enter Certified partnership with DCE (Drum Corps Europe)
The IMBA & DCE staff are delighted to announce that the two associations will now officially enter a Certified partnership. This partnership will offer many opportunities for Irish bands to travel and compete in events across Europe and it will also offer International bands the opportunity to compete in DCE shows hosted in Ireland. As part of this partnership the IMBA will be hosting 5 DCE certified shows in 2010. Please see details above.
